Repairs

We give you advice with all occurring problems you may have with your instrument and carry out necessary repairs such as rework or replacement of fretboard and frets, gluing or rebuilding the bridge, adjusting the string action, replacement of saddle and tuning machines. We repair cracks on top and body of the instrument as well as breakages of neck and peghead. We renovate shellac polishes and other handmade varnishes. Industrial lacquers can only be repaired to a limited extent, because they normally harden chemically.

Restoration

Our many years’ experience is to your disposal by restoration work, too. Particularly with regard to old and historical instruments the conservation of the original material has priority. We should discuss in detail what works are necessary to preserve your instrument.
