The tone of the traditional flamenco guitar should be bright, dry and resonant with quick and balanced trebles and a lyrical voice.
Therefore the construction differs in some details from the classical concert guitar: The sides are lower, the top is a little lighter. The body consists of best quality cypress; the soundboard is made of very old well seasoned spruce. The headstock should be very light. It has a splint joint and a wood veneer on the top. The neck is made of very good straight grained cedro. The guitar has a thin but stable clear golpeador.
We build this guitar also with wooden tuning pegs.
